Griffinsburg Equine Trail Rides

HOURS Monday-Sunday 8am -7pm

We offer guided trail rides year round by appointment only.  Whether you have never ridden a day in your life or are a seasoned equestrian, we have the best horses, trails, and unmatched trail guides that will create the most memorable riding experience for years to come.  The rides last 1 to 2 hours, depending on the groups experience. We can entertain up to 8 riders.

However we cater to everyone and anyone, which means that if you would like to take a guided trail ride on your own, we will be more then happy to fulfill your request.  We ride through creels and herds of grazing cattle.  Before you come please specify you’re riding experience if any and you’re riding preference, English or Western.  During the summer months we offer picnics near the Hazel River accompanied by a bottle of Virginia’s own Prince Michelle wine from our neighboring Vineyard, located only 5 miles away on the Madison County Line.  Gift Certificates are now available.  Book a trail ride for that special someone and we will send them a personal invitation with your name as a gift from you.  Rates and packages are listed below.  Please call for more information & to schedule an appointment!

HOURS: Griffinsburg Equine is a working horse farm and is OPEN 7 days a week.  Scheduling for Trail Rides appointment times is available 8am-5pm

(We do rides starting at 5pm and returning between 6 or 7 depending on the length of the ride desired.)

Same Day Appointments:  Appointments come on a first come first serve basis. If you have read this and decide that you would like to come and today is your only time available, call us and we may be able to fit you in.  We are very flexible and like everyone to experience the fun of riding.

Reservations: We will gladly reserve a time slot for your ride. A $25 non-refundable deposit is required if your trail ride is scheduled 1 week or more away from the day you make the appointment.  You can send it by mail, or we accept all major credit cards through Pay Pal.

Picnics: We provide deli sandwiches, chips and a specified beverage.  The costs listed below are additional to the ride itself.  30 min for resting and enjoying your lunch will be added onto the trail ride if a picnic is requested.

• Couple Picnic (2 people) $50
• Group Picnic (3 or more people) $60 (3) + $20 each additional person

Payment using a Credit Card *Important Information*

If you would like to use your credit card, please let us know when you schedule your appointment. There is a $10 fee additional to the balance if you decide to use your credit card.  Due to charges incurred by the use of Pay-Pal. Please also remember when using a credit card that you will have to pay the balance 2 business days before your trail ride so it can process into our account.  If for some reason you pay the balance, it process, and you are unable to make it. You can reschedule your appointment to a later dare or you will be refunded the balance less $50 cancellation charge.

Cancellations: Griffinsburg Equine reserves the right to cancel and reschedule appointments at our discretion due to poor and or unsafe weather conditions, personal, farm emergencies, and is not liable for any charges or refunds.
