Students and Horses

Students at Griffinsburg Equine come in all sizes and ages. Our youngest rider is 5 years old; the oldest is 89. We tailor your instruction to your abilities, talent and interests. Our horses are all very experienced and are willing to try anything you ask of them. They range in size from small ponies to Thoroughbreds, Quarter Horses and Sport Horses. Whether you have never ridden before, have ridden in the past, or are fairly accomplished, we have the mount and riding instruction for you.

Lessons

Griffinsburg Equine is open year-round and offers English, Jumping and Western lessons. During the summer months lessons are given on weekdays, while during fall, spring and winter most lessons take place on evenings and weekends. Individual private lessons are available as well as group lessons. We ask that your first lesson be private, so that we can assess your riding ability. After the first lesson we may be able to place you in a group of riders at a similar level. We also travel to provide lessons to those who have a horse at home or are boarding. Lessons focus on equitation techniques, but also include instruction in equine safety, care and grooming.
